In the midst of a global shutdown, two friends: Nicky Muriel and Jonathan Pabilic decided to play music together, although, the only thing possible was sending mp3 demos to each other back and forth. Through many hardships in and out of the pandemic the band had recorded their debut EP, The Ketchup together in drummer Nicky’s house.
The Ketchup EP utilizes influences from many different rock genres, utilizing a mix of power pop, punk, garage rock, pop punk, and grunge. The artwork of the Ketchup EP was an idea from Nicky… only to realize, he can’t draw so he got the talented Gene Berg to make it look as visually appealing and stunning as possible, so much that Gene also made The Lineage’s current logo!
Throughout 2023 and 2024 The Lineage has played different types of shows with new bassist Josie Harris who helps complete their unique sound. While playing live, the band had continued to write new songs, with many debuting at live shows. The Lineage is currently recording said songs at Park Street Recording Studio.
In 2025, soon will be The Lineage’s debut full length album, featuring songs that continue the same wild blend of hard rock, pop punk and metal.
The Lineage's second single, Burn Down is out now. Give it a listen, it’s fire.
